6 hour beginner blacksmithing course no experience required! Minimum age limit 17 years old. There are four places for students per date meaning you could be taking a class with up to 3 other people depending on if the course gets booked up. If there are no courses in stock for a particular date this means all places are booked. We aim to offer one course the last Sunday of every month. All our courses take place at our forge on Foxfields Farm, Stonyhurst, Clitheroe, Lancashire BB7 9PN.

Proceedings of the day: Please arrive for 9:45am so we can make a start for 10am. In the morning we shall be going through some basic forging techniques breaking for lunch at 1pm. Lunch is not provided so please bring your own! We will however provide you with many brews and plenty of biscuits.

Work will resume at 1:30pm and carry on till 4pm. In the afternoon you can make whatever you like (within the time limit). We can discuss this on the day or if you would like to send us an email with an idea, we can advise you on if we’d have enough time! Some of the items we suggest are: a keyring, bottle opener, wall hook or fire poker.
